Mostly widespread are buildings of light metal wares, covered by corrugated sheet steel or by panels.

Building them is a quite complicated and labour-intensive process. Such buildings don’t provide high waterproofness, building and using them are expensive. A good deal of manual labour reduces their safety.

However in the middle of XX century in USA a highly mechanized technology was developed for machine manufacturing and assembly of building elements.

Due to their form the building didn’t need any frame or covering. Both these tasks were fulfilled by arched elements, rolled from steel sheets.

• Expenses for delivery of construction elements reduced – now the manufacturing factory could come just to the building site.
• The number of workers employed for building reduced. The equipment was served by a team of several men.
• The powerful foundation was no longer needed.
• The effective area of the building increased.
• Cost of designing slumped.
• The building was really quick-built.
